Domestic Violence
We deal regularly with urgent cases involving family emergencies arising from domestic violence and disputes regarding children (including residence, contact and care proceedings). Our solicitors operate a duty solicitor rota everyday. This means any person with a family emergency can be seen without appointment and without delay so that emergency applications can be made to protect clients suffering domestic violence or children needing emergency protection in relation to residence or contact or to prevent their removal from the UK.
An experienced member of the Family Team will always be available to discuss a family emergency requiring legal assistance. Public funding is available to all parents in care proceedings whatever their financial circumstances. Otherwise Public Funding and free Legal Help is available for clients who are financially eligible under the Legal Aid scheme.
